The Village of Saranac Lake is thrilled to announce the return of our annual Light Up Saranac Lake celebration on Friday, December 6th! This family-friendly event will feature a spectacular Lighted Fire Truck Parade, a festive tree lighting, and of course, a special visit from Santa himself.

Lighted Fire Truck Parade
6PM-6:15PM
Gather as area Fire Departments convene in Saranac Lake. The parade route is from Broadway to Main Street. Trucks will be adorn in bright lights, decorations, and escorting a very special guest — Santa!

Tree Lighting Berkeley Green
6:15PM-7PM
Join us as Santa lights the tree in Berkeley Green! Partake in a festive holiday sing-a-long, and enjoy cookies and hot cocoa — next to the bonfire!

Visit Santa
7PM-9PM
Following the parade Santa will be at the library — where kids are welcome to visit with him! Tell Santa your wish-list and snap a photo.

** Looking for Local Businesses to Join the Parade**

This year, we’re calling on local businesses to add to the magic by participating in the Business Entry category of our Lighted Fire Truck Parade! We’re looking for decorated pick-up trucks, dump trucks, tow trucks, snow plows, ATVs, and UTVs — with festive lights to brighten the night. The parade will travel through the heart of downtown, starting from Broadway and concluding at the Town Hall, giving business participants an ideal chance to connect with the community and share in the holiday spirit.

Businesses participating in the parade can also compete for the coveted Mayor’s Cup, awarded to the best-decorated business entry! This is a wonderful opportunity for local companies to celebrate the season, showcase their creativity, and be part of a cherished tradition that brings joy to the community each year.
