A low-key ski experience

Saranac Lake has its own village ski center, Mount Pisgah Recreation Center. Pisgah has something to offer a broad range of winter snow seekers. There’s recreational downhill skiing and snowboarding with snowmaking to keep the slopes in tune all winter. Pisgah has 15 skiable acres with an inviting terrain park and gate training for alpine racers. Not to mention, Pisgah has snow tubing and snowshoe trails! Join us day and night (that's right, Pisgah has night skiing and tubing!), for alpine fun!

For a full-day ski resort with all of the amenities, head to Whiteface a few minutes outside the village of Lake Placid. The Olympic mountain - host of the 1980 Winter Olympic alpine events - features the greatest vertical drop in the east! Whiteface Mountain hosts various lodges, dining and après ski, and beginner to expert terrain, including glade skiing, the slides, and a full snow sports school and park for the littlest skiers. Whiteface also offers multiple terrain parks for extra thrills.

For slopes that are fun and super family-friendly, head north to Titus Mountain. Titus has awesome options for skiing, riding, and even tubing! The new ski-banas offer a private spot to get warm, have a snack (bring your own), and relax between runs.
