Lace up your shoes and embrace the wilderness. Test your endurance as you conquer the rugged terrain surrounded by stunning landscapes of the VIC. With over 40 kilometers of trails across 3,000 acres of forest, mountains, bogs, and streams, we’ve got the perfect place for you to get in touch with the Adirondacks. Come challenge yourself with our most notable trail race, the annual Jenkins Mountain Scramble! This event is for all adventure seekers, whether  you’re a seasoned trail runner or a first-timer. Two race options available:

Jenkins Mountain Scramble 10k

The JMS 10k kicks off at 11 AM. This course takes you along the edge of picturesque Heron Marsh, passes over Shingle Mills Falls bridge, and along the tranquil shores of Black and Long ponds, mixing in shaded forest trails along the way.

Jenkins Mountain Scramble Half Marathon

The JMS Half Marathon starts at 10:30 AM.  It follows the same course as the 10k and then turns up the forest road and begins the single track climb to the Summit of Jenkins Mountain (elev. 2,513 ft). Upon arrival at the base, racers will return to the VIC via Loggers Loop. Finishing on our 1,600 ft boardwalk through a bog habitat to the finish line.

Logistics

REGISTRATION: Preregistration will close August 3rd at 11:59PM EST. Walk-in registration on the day of the race should be available. Please note that t-shirt availability may be limited for walk-in registrants.

$50 – Half Marathon
