Learn to identify wild local edible plants with expert Pat Banker from Cornell University Cooperative Extension. Pat will answer your questions about how to harvest, use, cultivate and otherwise appreciate these plants! Be amazed by what Mother Nature has to offer, from gluten-free options to easy-to-harvest solutions right at your feet. Following the guided walk, join Pat for a tasting of a few of the wild harvested plants you’ve just learned about, e.g., nature’s pesto and bread made from dandelions! This program takes place immediately surrounding the VIC building (the area is flat) and is suitable for people with limited mobility.
