Total Solar Eclipse with Historic Saranac Lake

About

Totally historic

The Saranac Laboratory Museum will be open with special hours for the Solar Eclipse! We'll bring science, history, and this once-in-a-lifetime event together through exhibits and limited edition merch. Come to the museum to learn more about the science of eclipses and see historical photographs showcasing the moon and sun. The Museum will close at 3PM to allow visitors and staff to experience the eclipse, and we will reopen at 4PM. We have free eclipse glasses available for museum visitors (while supplies last!), and you can watch the eclipse from the museum grounds! Also, don't forget to visit our booth at Solar Fest to learn about how nature, including sunlight, played a role in curing tuberculosis in the early 1900s.

Hours: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Museum

2 p.m. - 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. downtown at Solar Fest
