A Children’s Camp in the Heart of the Adirondacks

A place where girls grow into fearless women, ready to embrace challenges, get their hands dirty, and change the world! Eagle Island is a youth camp located on a 31-acre island on Upper Saranac Lake in upstate New York. Eagle Island’s programming is designed to make optimal use of the exceptional, natural location. Water and wilderness activities form the foundation of the programming and are supplemented by a wide variety of staff- and camper-led programming across arts and crafts, sports, music and drama, nature, creative pursuits, and team-building.

An Active Day of Outdoor Exploration, Education, & Fun

Daily camp activities include open waterfront time (free swimming, kayaking, canoeing, games, and more), swim lessons, STEM-inspired outdoor education, camper-choice activities, and camper-led play in the Peninsula (an open space for campers to explore and use their imaginations). Other activities offered include nature education, team-building, crafts, and traditional camp survival skills like fire-building and shelter-building.

Small group sizes ensure that Eagle Island Staff get to know each camper, helping to create programming that fits their interests and needs for a memorable and transformative summer camp experience.
