Play, relax, enjoy
Saranac Lake's parks, all cared for by a dedicated team of volunteers, offer an array of delights. While you're downtown, stop by Vest Pocket Park, next to the library, to soak up the sun and take a quick rest. Grab a bite to eat and wander over to Riverside Park, where picnic tables and views of Lake Flower make for a sweet spot to fuel up. While you're there, check out the Riverwalk, which follows the Saranac River through downtown.
Kids of all ages love William Morris Park, where a playground and basketball court sit alongside the beautiful Adirondack Carousel.
Looking for more ways to play? Baldwin Park on Lake Flower Avenue offers tennis and basketball courts, a memorial to the Korean and Vietnam wars, as well as a hand launch for canoes, kayaks, and SUPs.
Leave No Trace and Love Your ADK Pledge
The magic of the Adirondacks is the result of previous generations taking a long view and protecting the mountains, lakes, and rivers within the Blue Line. That tradition continues today as we support and encourage everyone to practice Leave No Trace ethics, which help protect the lands and waters of the Adirondacks.
