How to get there
From downtown Saranac Lake, take Bloomingdale Avenue to Route 3 and follow Route 3 for 7 miles. At the four corners in Bloomingdale, continue straight onto State Street. At the end of State Street, veer right onto Oregon Plains Road.
Fishing
Brook trout season opens April 1 to October 15 and has a daily limit of five, any size. The beautiful "brookie" is the state fish of New York, and fishing for brookies in remote waters is a classic Adirondack experience.
