Volunteers Invited to Support Greenhouse Work at Petrova Elementary

Community Volunteer Day: Upgrade Petrova Greenhouse and Gardens
Join the Saranac Lake Central School District's Farm to School program in enhancing the Petrova greenhouse and gardens. Volunteers are needed to assist with various upgrades and construction projects.

Time: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: Petrova School Garden, 141 Petrova Avenue, Saranac Lake
Rain Date: Saturday, May 11, 2024
Tasks Include:
- Moving and assembling raised garden beds
- Building out the new Petrova school garden using power tools, hand tools, and people power
What to Bring:
- Work gloves
- Water and snacks
- Clothes that can get dirty
- Sunscreen and a hat
- Cordless drill with charged batteries (if possible)

Can't make it on May 4th? The Farm to School program is also seeking summer volunteers to tend the gardens at Petrova, Saranac Lake High School, and Bloomingdale Elementary School from June to August. Email dinanemi@slcs.org to sign up and receive training.
